Cinema and TV broadcasting

Cimcoop delivers a variety of spherical lenses and achromats for some of the world’s leading manufacturers of prime and zoom lenses. The range of applications of these lenses includes, but is not limited to shooting feature-lentgh films, video commercials, television series and documentaries. These applications call for a zero compromise in picture quality. In optical terms, this translates into components with very high optical parameters such as surface quality, surface flatness and are often made of chemically sensitive, high-index optical glass types. Thanks to our state-of-the-art CNC equipment and a seasoned staff, Cimcoop has established itself as a trusted supplier of components for this industry.

Machine vision

Machine vision (MV) is the technology and methods used to provide imaging-based automatic inspection and analysis for such applications as automatic inspection, sorting, material handling, process control and robot guidance in industry. Cimcoop is a provider of precision optical components used in a wide range of machine vision lenses such as telecentric lenses, which allow the image magnification to be independent of the object’s distance or position in the field of view.

Thermal imaging

Thermal imaging has numerous applications in both military and civil environments. In the defense industry, thermal imaging cameras are used by infantry and are mounted on various kinds of land and airborne vehicles to provide vision up to several kilometers away in total darkness. As for civil applications, thermographic cameras are used by firefighters to see through smoke, to find persons, and to localize the base of a fire. Maintenance technicians use thermography to locate overheating joints and sections of power lines, which are a sign of impending failure. Building construction technicians can see thermal signatures that indicate heat leaks in faulty thermal insulation and can use the results to improve the efficiency of heating and air-conditioning units. Cimcoop is a well established supplier of IR optical components and blanks for some of the largest companies in the field of thermal imaging worldwide. We grow high-purity Silicon monocrystal in-house and process it semi-finished or finished optical components. Controlling the whole process from the raw material to the finished optical part allows us to achieve high quality at competitive prices.

CO2 lasers

Because of the high power levels available (combined with reasonable cost for the laser), CO2 lasers are widely used in industrial applications for cutting and welding, while lower power level lasers are used for engraving. Cimcoop supplies blanks and polished mirrors used for the production of beam delivery and cavity optics by OEM laser manufacturers and producers CO2 laser replacement optics.

Providing 13.5 million jobs and 8 out of the 20 fastest growing occupations only in the US, health care is one of the world’s largest industries. Medical optics is a 500+ billion industry and growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 5% for the last five years. Our custom precision optics find multiple applications in medical devices and we have been a trusted supplier for many projects in that field.
